  • Students, we are now only 4 weeks away from Coin Wars and the Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game.  This is our 20th year of making a difference and the ninth year where these differences have been specifically directed to other children.  Our mantra the last nine years has been “Kids helping Kids!”  We have heard a number of students asking why?  Why should we give?  Why should we help?  The easy answer would be we are Downingtown and this is what we do; this drive helps the less-fortunate who need our help.  And believe it or not, Downingtown Middle School is known around the country because of the gratitude of the organizations we support and the children that we help.  In a couple of weeks we will show you a video that will help you understand what a difference we are making.  Finding a cure, giving comfort, rescuing from lives of abuse – this is how we help.  So save those coins and be ready to strain the backs of the teachers who need to carry them to the bank.  Coin Wars begins March 7.
